Petty Fable From Cusp Of Destruction Comments

“Time for bed, ” said the extremely colossal monster who liked to wreck stuff. His specialty was cities, but he did not limit himself. He was five hundred meters tall, with a head that looked like a four-horned bear, and eight hairy gargantuan appendages branching out from his torso, which gave him the appearance of a spider.
Meanwhile, earthquakes, floods, tsunamis, volcanoes, hurricanes, tornadoes, typhoons, firestorms, and rampaging ball lightening danced across the planet, while tanks, planes, and ships armed with guns and bombs of all strengths and sizes paraded about, jettisoning various explosions to and fro, as the super huge and monstrous but tired behemoth looked for a place to have some rest and hopefully good dreams.
“Sure is hard to get some shut-eye in the midst of all this hullabaloo, ” the gigantic creature, whose name was Manny, grumbled to himself, as he lumbered away from the burning city for the shaking and crumbling mountains, swatting away jet fighters like they were mosquitoes, catching a few nuclear warheads in his teeth, and spitting them far over the horizon where they landed with pretty glows and smoky mushrooms.
“Firecrackers go Boom, ” said Manny, smiling, looking at the setting sun, wondering if it would be going nova next month like his Mom and Dad had told him it would. He was glad to be going to Europe for the family reunion, excited to see all his brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles again. Manny hoped it would be just as chaotic and hectic as the States, but that was tomorrow’s party, another day’s itinerary; tonight the goal was sleepytime.
