Ph: Faith: Putting On Paul Bunyan's Shoes Poem by Brian Johnston

Some days I wake up with the blues
And wish I wore Paul Bunyan's shoes,
Not superpower! Just more ‘BIG! '
(So, bring the "Fear of God" to 'PIG! ')
That 'PIGS' (lives stripped of empathy)
Might find fresh joy in sympathy.

What man is free (not born to burn) ,
Who'd steal from others (what they earn) ?
The world created living Hell
To one with any sense of smell!
You think you live? Please, God! Atone!
You don't share bread? Give others stone?

Trump lose his kids (by prison shorn) ,
Should misanthropes feel pains of porn?
The liars who would hide the "Truth, "
Wear ‘scarlet' letters that, forsooth,
Would show their lies so all might see
Men need to face eternity?

How did it ever come to this?
(That man would stoop to Judas' kiss!)
I read ‘Your WORD, ' learn chapter verse,
But struggle still with apple's curse.
A child is curious and free,
‘GRACE' IS Your WILL, not enmity!

Obey Your ‘WORD? ' Well that seems clear
When ‘WORD' reveals, You hold us dear!
"Eat bread, not stone, " is Sage advice
(If keeping teeth's no sacrifice) .
A crime to want to be like You?
Please! Tell me, God, this isn't TRUE!

"Don't eat the fruit of just this tree, "
Is certainly not ‘poetry, '
"Child don't touch fire for it will burn, "
Is Father's love I want to learn!
Your ‘HEART' is truly my desire,
Please help me Lord avoid Your IRE!
