Ph: Faith: The Dawn Of Self Poem by Brian Johnston

Ph: Faith: The Dawn Of Self

I. Would inner thoughts come into play
If poetry did not hold sway,
In poets' lives (an 'uber-wife! ')
Who plays life's tune? The Drum? The Fife?
Should future bless man's family
"May heaven bless all poetry! "

II. If kindness is God's master plan,
Good stewardship is there for man,
To love our brother, love the earth,
With humor bring the poorest mirth!
Would you be God, you think you could
Love soul, the tree that falls in wood?

III. Creation's what creation does,
It wants You, God! (I think)because,
I know I didn't dream myself
Or put man's book on planet's shelf!
Oh, grant this seed may grow its rose
And 'feel' God's earth beneath my toes.

IV. Can intellect not dream of God?
Denial's choice (but just as odd!)
But why imagine the unseen?
Oh, wait! Did you make planet green?
If God, then soul, it all makes sense.
It's still a choice; you love the fence?
