Carried me deep within the warmth of your womb;
Sang sweet music as you rocked to bring the calm;
Kicked to approve, disapprove or just to stretch deep within.
Swam around in bliss, tugging at my life line just to get attention;
Ankles swollen, blisters on feet from the heat;
Gain a kilo or ten yet all you worried about was me.
Burst into the light ready to kick start my life;
Every vomit and poo you clean;
You give a little “ooh” of fascination.
Tell you I love you
Scream I hate you
All the same, you stand by my side
Scratch my knee, break my arm
Kiss it better all the time
Gave up your dreams to revive mine
Never drawing a line to your love
A phenomenon you are to me.
Blessed are we that are forgiven.
Driven back into comfort and safety,
Told we are safe and welcome.
Time again we stumble, never falling;
For the women in our lives are near,
Lust has driven me to impurities.
Yet love always has a place for me;
Tales of unfaithful days haunt;
But never re-enter my mind.
Praise to the man above;
For the woman by my side;
For she never lied, but sadly she has died time again
For my sins.
