Her lithe ethereal form rose,
From the ashes of humanity,
From the rainbow of shadows,
As it always has;
In grave moments of fright,
As a refugee in a fight,
As a balm of love for the mind,
When shadows lengthen over the night.
You have returned, time and again,
To her embrace,
During pain or distress,
And she suffered abandonment,
With your returning strength;
And when you had nothing to gain.
Or so you thought.
But like every miracle, reinstated as reality,
Which fosters faith in humanity,
She will rise like a phoenix, and make you long to return,
Where the clouds converge into sublime feelings,
Unto the warmth of Hiraeth.
