Phoenix Poem by Eric Sawyer

Phoenix

Attempting something new
With inspiration
From a being I cant call a man
Yet lived as one
Known as Hafiz

I have opened
One of my many gifts
Thank you Hafiz
For showing me this

I'm an awakened phoenix
Known only to fly
Power from God
Wrong to deny
Fly fly fly
Paradise

The wind is my music
My glide is my dance

Wings melting off mysticism
Raining on souls
Drink in this wisdom
It is for all

Mind in Ecstasy
Shares only the same
We are all cells
Replicate

To recognize God
Not falsely
Only through Heart
Is there true prayer
We will fly
Fly fly fly
To this paradise
