Phoenix Arising Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Phoenix Arising

self-loathing wailing
assumed agreements there asked
never really filled

maybe severed thoughts
skinless violence served within
shadowy despairs

nothing's always done
plied understandings burning
aggression's genders

fearfully unleashed
powerfully looking deaths
mirrored bas-reliefs

chasing boneless things
there, where dying reigns supreme
Phoenix arising

Good comment on the comic book below. I think my haiku you commented on the other day is more correctly a senryu. But climate today hovers over all whether we mention it or not.
