Pensive Phoenix

Photo - Poem by Pensive Phoenix

This photo fills my eyes with
Fraught with colour
A claim that I have seen
Been upon time trodden earth

And in this photo I see
the transience of life slip by
as if it derides
How hard I tried
To ignore
how no memory
Can stand the certainty
Of time.
