Photographs - Poem by GORDON BUTCHERS
Photographs in an album
A nostalgic picture show,
Of scenes as if they were just yesterday
But were taken many years ago.
Like a flowing river
Time goes by so fast,
We look at another photograph
Just to hang on to the past.
There are some that make us happy
While others make us cry,
The smiling faces of people and of places
Images of days gone by.
We can't let go of yesterday
And the things that used to be,
But now those pictures of yesterday
Are now just history.
