Picture Of Jesus Poem by Luke Easter

Picture Of Jesus

In my mind I see a picture,
That’s mounted on a frame,
It’s Jesus standing next to me,
And He's calling out my name.

Saying Lucas, Lucas, Lucas,
Why don’t they believe?
I’m the One, who loves them,
It’s the devil that deceives.

A picture is worth a thousand words,
That’s how the saying goes,
On the second coming of Christ,
Lord & Savior is all you’ll need to know.

What about those who don’t know Jesus?
For them will it be too late?
Having their name in the book of life,
Passing through the narrow gate.

The frame is expanding,
I can see the world wide,
Every single person,
Has Jesus by their side.

The only question is,
How many will believe?
The number of those failing,
Is greater than those who will succeed.

Pictures are forever,
It’s time that doesn’t last,
God has already forgiven you today,
For your iniquities of the past.

Arriving on a cloud,
Jesus will begin His reign,
Make sure you have His picture,
Firmly etched inside your brain.

At the start of Revelations,
When day gives way to night,
The only words that will matter,
Are the Savior’s, Jesus Christ.

The final hour is close at hand,
Yes, we are running out of time,
This is what Christ Jesus told me,
From the picture in my mind.
