Just found a picture of us
It took my breath away
I can't believe how much has changed
How far I've gone astray
Back when they took it
I was so in love with you
That was when it was still fresh
The relationship was new

But we broke apart slowly
So far from where we start
That happiness is shattered
Just like our broken hearts
And to see our smiling faces
Captured that warm fall day
Makes me think of the past
And how I forgot to say

That I really, really love you
And I know I always will
But the happiness is gone for us
Hasn't returned and never will.
