Picture Perfect Photograph Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

Picture Perfect Photograph

The night fades in and out of focus
And I count stars just to preoccupy my self
So I can't hear the whimper in your voice
The night draw out all your blood
And you fade in and out

Scream simple lies into the darkness
Cry out in pain, as tears courses your cheek
The time is drawing near and your hearts beating faster
How much more can you take before you shatter

The night drags on and the memories flood you
Bring you back to golden days, when things weren't so hard
And life seemed so simple and worries didn't exist
Why can't we go back to those days when we would play
Outside my house and chase each other around all day
And laugh as the days fade away
And tell each other everything
Oh how I miss those golden days

But darkness clouds all our thoughts
And brings distance into our heart
We pull away from one another
Destroyed our fait
And we fall to pieces
But please remember those days

Time is something we need to value
Cause with time we heal slowly
And maybe if we find each other
We can bring back those wonderful memories
So take my hand and I'll lead the way
No need for pretend as I take you away
You need a guide and I'll be beside you
Together forever is how we'll stay
