Pieces Of Falling Sky Poem by jodde taylor

Pieces Of Falling Sky

We raised ourselves in brilliance
reflections turning against the sun
shading ourselves, from opening our hearts
but the light came through,
and there I ran to you.

Two pieces falling from the sky
flowing trough the avenues of love
blue...so blue your eyes stayed on my mind
and time gave a sparing hour.

Lifting our moments, to sweet melodies
crying in eyes, of laughter
could we ever forget
that simple way we flew.

Always returning for one more glance;
how every piece of you became a part of me
we danced in the sunlight of our lives
revisiting each embrace,
we took away each empty space.

There beneath a frequent sky,
we fell, twisting in the wind
trying to keep our lives in tune
so abundantly we took chances.

This way, our way, our time, our place
we loved, much too much
and withered with the winters season,
burned away with ashes of reason
living by the flames
but oh' how so bright and beautiful.

To know that a place in time,
we had a friend to call home
in flooding rains of doubt,
we stood side by side,
and I loved you forever.
