The Howling Poem by jodde taylor

The Howling

Within your mind,
do the wolves howl at your door
by the arrival of dawn

Do the glimmers,
of a shimmering star
greet your open arms

Horizons,
forsaken, forgiven
biting and chewing
a bare land

Itching and scratching,
stealing life
from tormented avenues

fate,
a cruel interpretation
of dreams

We find our destiny,
purging every scrap
back to a hungry beast.
