Pills - Poem by Kennedy Huston

I wonder how many pills it would take
to commit suicide,
popping one after another
would you have to wait
30 minutes
for the effects to kick in
like it says on the directions
or would you have to wait hours
until your body stopped fighting
and your mind gave up
would you fall asleep before it happened
would your eyes roll open catching a last glance
of the life you left behind
the life in the end you wish
you had never seen.
