Pink - Poem by John Kipling Lewis

Pink is the new Black.
Salmon shirt for your office, goes well this season with that tie.
Father's Day gift from Macy's or did you find out from GQ.
No, it was your wife who told you.
It doesn't matter, we laugh at you all the same for wearing Pink.

This was good, it brought a smerk to my face. That should say it all. (Report) Reply

    7. It almost works. But it needs more original imagery. Originality is funny. Take, for instance, stand-up comedy. Comedians who repeat the same surface-level, obvious stuff everyone else does are not funny. (Report) Reply

Nothing wrong with a little sarcasm. I think it fits well in the context of your other poetry, but alone, the point might go missing. (Report) Reply

I really got a kick out of this one - it's not serious poetry yet it addresses human foibles. (Report) Reply
