Pink To Red Poem by Aemilia Still

Pink To Red

Theo, the staple of Breakfast,
Neighbour of eggs and coffee,
His life and death is past,
On a plate was his last.

They were immoral to him,
Only a product. A means of profit,
Then they decided to sell,
"It's nature, predator and prey"

Once a pink six month old life,
Now he was red. A days work,
The weapon was a swift knife.
No justification; an army of greed.
