Pirates Of The Mediterranean Poem by Chris Lane

Pirates Of The Mediterranean

By now the Pirates of the Mediterranean
had accumulated enough wealth
to fortify their harbor seawalls,
wharves, piers, and embankments
While lands adjacent to their haven
are enclosed by walls made from drab gray concrete

Miserable like misers, this horrid band of Pirates
Never feel secure, nor are they ever satisfied
For hoarding Gold and Silver deep within their bunkers
Has made this Pirate clan, paranoid beyond wonder
