Pithecanthropus - Poem by Douglas Scotney

When it was obvious
we were getting a World State
not 1984,
sylla-bi and -buses
dumped Brave New World
as no laughing matter,
for Orwell and Blair,
the odd laugh still there
about pithecan-thropi and -thropuses.
