In this plastic world, I need to eject a plastic smile,
always on demand, to please someone,
for a sake of my own interest, a selfish interest!
Now stands as universal
I need to eject a plastic smile, always!
What can I do?
My teeths uneven
Ugly I think while shedding this plastic smile
on demand!
Can you also ask a flower to bloom
on demand?
We humans are bigger than these flowers
Yet we are asked to shed that fragrance?
However uninviting it may be,
however nasty it may be,
It is req'd for your so call'd existance
That nasty smile,
belying a truth,
befitting a true desire,
You must act!
You are now reduced to an Actor!
O my Divine,
You are just now reduced to an Actor!

So true Shamik. They eyes don't glint with a plastic smile as it has to come from the heart. 'Can you ask a flower to bloom on demand? Excellent writing Shamik and such a good topic.

I would like to translate this poem
The plastic smile without eye's glint, like paper roses - do not waft any fragrance - with total absence of feelings! We are on a Shakesperean stage, where all men and women are mere 'actors' playig their parts! A well written poem! -Raj
