Playing By Yourself Isn’t Fun, Is It? Poem by Stephanie King

Playing By Yourself Isn’t Fun, Is It?

Hot and cold
You play your game
I watch on the sidelines
It’s way too lame

You were too perfect
To be all I need
Could never expect
A single good deed

I loved you so much
But you broke my heart
You’re with her now
We’re so far apart

You’re now with my friend
I bid you farewell
You seem to have fun
While my life is hell

You now play your game
Alone, she’s left you
I’m glad you left me
‘Cause I have lots to do

I have another now
He loves me, as did you
But won’t break my heart
‘Cause I love him too
