Please Don'T Ever Poem by Ray Hansell

Please Don'T Ever

Don’t ever lose that smile
You wear upon your face
Don’t ever let a frown
Show up to take its place

Don’t lose that sparkle
I see in your eyes
That’s how I know
That our love is alive

Always have the happiness
That I hear in your voice
To be happy or sad
I know that’s your choice

Don’t ever lose the bounce
In your step as you walk
When you have something to say
You’re not afraid to talk

Don’t be afraid to love
Or give your heart away
It will bring you happiness
Forever and a day

Don’t be afraid to be alone
For we all need solitude
It doesn’t mean you’re angry
Or that you’re in a bad mood

When you look back on the years
I hope a memory of me will be there
I hope that you remember
How much I use to care
