Please God, Make Me Strong Poem by Randy McClave

Please God, Make Me Strong

Please God, make me strong
When I confront the person who did me wrong,
And when they tell me another one of their lies
Please God, let them see the tears in my eyes.

Let them feel my sadness and my pain
And the worries and confused thoughts in my brain,
Let them see the sorrow that they are inflicting
Only because they want to be mean, and conflicting.
I have never deliberately caused anyone any pain
I even gave umbrellas to those when it began to rain.
When anyone needed help and support I was always there
Because I worried about them, and I did care.

Please God, make me strong
When the Devil once again comes along,
Let them think before they throw their shoe
And please God, let them see the Devil before I do.
