Please take me back in time
To when I was very young
Life was so easy way back then
At the place where I was from

My family went to church each week
Every Sunday as it came
As a child life was so easy
Later nothing was the same

Please take me back into the past
To when I sat in the old tired barn
Pondering my life ahead
At my folks’ eighty acres of farm

Please take me back just one more time
If I could only see them all
My mom and brother, Rod and
My dad so handsome and tall

I believe one day once again I will
Be back with my family
Once more we will reminisce
How special that will be for me!
