Please The God Poem by Mahathi Mydavolu

Please The God

How can I please the God? You cogitate!
Can He grant me His grace and boons I want?
Will He love me at all and change my fate?
Will forgive He, my actions bad and base?

I guess I ought to offer Him something
To please so well His heavenly great taste.
Where can I find such food and how to bring?
How naïve I'm! Oh, my ken is just a waste!

Don't be so sad! The Lord Himself said all
O friends so well in holy Gita text.
Realize the truth O men and hear His call
He relishes not what you think as best!

Just offer water, flower, fruit or leaf.
He likes no rich cuisine, but true belief!
