Happiness Poem by Mahathi Mydavolu

Happiness

O God of Universe, O Lord of love,
Accept my prayers, and listen to my woe.
Can thee spot me O Lord, a man in cove
Amongst a billion humans on a show? !

You have no holidays for happiness
O Lord. I have no holidays for pain
And grief. You have no predicaments, stress
And strain. But lo I have a longest chain
Of tough imbroglios, and tormenting mess.

You smile always and simper sweetly Lord.
You stand unmoved at falling world like a pack
Of cards, listening to the songs of bard
And preening at Thy glamour, glitz and stack
Of myriad blooms arrayed and men at guard.

So many diamonds in thy gold crown,
Those chains, necklaces, earrings all in gold,
And those festoons, those smeared perfumes, all drown
Thy figure dark, ah making you look bold,
So cleverly concealing thy low frown.

Don't feel umbrage at my satirical
Comments O Lord in glittering attire.
I'm not expecting any magical
Relief from thee. But please behold my dire
Plight once. Thy looks suffice my pain to lull.
