Who gives kudos and praise
When you strive to please
Hours of successfully mastering
Are interpreted as these…

Efforts were triumphant
Creativity was expressed
Expertise was applied
But we are not impressed

In this world of acceptance
There are rules to survey
You went over the edge
Sorry, you missed the mark today

You must stay within the rules
If you don't... you will lose points
This is how the game is played
Sorry, we know this disappoints

Try again another day
If by chance you are allowed
Refocus and stay within the frame...
Then you may return to wow the crowd
