Summer is a season of plenitude
Leaden clouds rumble across the sunless sky
Cicadas cry wolves in languish foliage
Showers of golden rains wash off sizzling plains
Every breathing blade is glutted with rainy pain
Rivers flood, landslides demolish the filthy streets
Saplings of rice, patches of wheat waive in the muddy waves
Hot tears and stubborn faces flash between iridescent umbrellas
Miasmas slid stealthily through the corpses to corpses
Red blood courses through the labyrinth of veins
Nets of tree roots suck rapaciously at the earth pith
Fat and bold mouses pluck quickly through the dumps
Carries off bits of soured butter in waltzing gaits
Moths fluttering their frail wings, they cannot wait
Luminous and lustrous is the tongue of flame
Coquettish and anxious is the fiery bait
Speed, sprint, sprint
This is no time of wait.
