Plum Shadow On My Desk - Poem by Charles WOO
The rising moon on the plum tip shines on my window.
My reading room is dimly dredged with plum shadow.
I may get my luxurious house and beauty from books.
I can learn 'Tang' poems and 'Han' articles in ancient looks.
After study of seal characters, my mind will broaden.
Using 'Yi' divination, I can tell your fortune.
Knowing virtuous persons from books, I act humbly.
Still, I try to escape the ridicule of the plum fairy.
