Poem 7 Croydon Poem by Antony Glaser

Poem 7 Croydon

They are closing down the town
and leaving on a train
I always wanted to be one of the long lasting
Standing here all alone
I find a room
with a high window
to let in my light
so it may flurry down
down on my poems
Deserted Croydon
and its seven hills
