To our little miracle
Mommy and Daddy love you
Way before we ever knew
We would have you
I pictured holding you close to me
Watching you as you sleep peacefully
And almost clearly
Hear your little giggle
As I your tiny belly gently tickle

I could sense the fulfilling joy
Dad and I would feel; and the pleasure of watching
And nurturing
You as you grow… our baby boy.

But as the days and years pass
You will have trials of your own
And you might make decisions that we might not condone
But our love for you is something that will forever last

There might come a time where you feel as though you are misunderstood
And if we could
We would bear every burden and all the pain you will go through
That’s how much we love you

Because Evan,
Just as our father in Heaven
Loves us unconditionally
The love we have for you is as close an understanding
We could ever have of the love He has for us – everlasting and unchanging
And this is something we will teach you
And we will try our best to equip you
To face all the growing pains you will go through
Because Mommy and Daddy love you
And we would like you to remember this one truth
If all else fails - No matter what happens on this earth
And with all the things you will go through as an adult and in youth
It is only through Him that I could give birth
To our beautiful little miracle - Evan
Your father in Heaven
Has a divine purpose and plan especially
For you and loves you and forever will unconditionally
