Poem No: 51. She Lived In A Cottage With Her Mother. Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

Poem No: 51. She Lived In A Cottage With Her Mother.

Rating: 5.0

She lived in a cottage with her mother.
Very few people could know and praise her.
She chose a solitary life for her
When, with Time's course, her mom had to expire.

Twelve years ago she married a soldier.
When battle happened, he had to leave her.
She counted days for her sweetheart, her life
But he didn't come back to his lovely wife.

The petals of her heart began to dry
With the heat of waiting just for her joy.
Day by day her mind became a hard stone
As she suffered so much living alone.

Just few minutes ago nature took her.
To the cottage she will return never.
