Poem Written For Miss Anne Westmoreland Snowdon

Rating: 5.0

Take a cabin by a river, on an English summer's day
Watch the waving golden barley from a boat out in a bay
Take the beauty of a sunrise, reds and golds and yellows too.
See the sunlight on a meadow, think my thoughts......and think of you.

Take a lazy, hazy, heatwave on an English summers day
Watch the dewdrops glisten brightly, smell the crisp, clean, newmown hay
Take the glory of a sunset coloured with a brilliant hue
See the wonder, feel the stillness, think my thoughts and think of you

Take a walk down shady lanes, on an English summers day
Watch the sheep out in the meadow, see them at their foolish play
Take the memories of a lifetime...live the lonely past anew
See the purpose, know the message, think my thoughts..and think of you
