Poet - Gardener

After all my effort, care and money,
'Achievement',
thought the poet-gardener,
would be a proper name for my house;
or, to rhyme with 'my care',
French 'to achieve',
'Achever'.

Why then what he called it?

Third thought,
'Achieves',
he chose,
to rhyme with 'leaves',
I suppose.
