Poet Rises
Out of yesterday
where voices are as dim
as evening light
their sounds
blunted by wrong-doing
a poet rises from ocean depth
to awaken the world with joy
one blot of ink at a time
play words into music
let the mind solace the body
in a carousel of happiness.
