Poet's Heart Poem by Randy Bolante Jr

Poet's Heart

Rating: 5.0

I swear to my grand mother's grave
that this is not written in vain as to gain
or so because I have things to say
if anything, my apology I pay

But for once I thought
I saw an angel
but it's you, sitting, dulling the sun in your presence
for once I thought I saw my heaven
but it's you with hair O gold in laden
so beautiful it encompass every word I could make

For it's you strike's deep to my soul
that it was suspended for a moment

For if my world gonna end with these words
Oh Lord, to thee, pray not!
Because for a moment, a poet's heart revealed.
