Poet (While Staring At A Blank Page) Poem by L MILTON HANKINS

Poet (While Staring At A Blank Page)

The blank page before me sighs relief
To be clean, unsullied by words
Or meaningless phrases
Nobody will read
Silence!
Do not we bleed
Salads, intricate mazes
Sometimes cutting like swords
And sometimes a lovely poem, I believe.
