Poetic Daydream Poem by Annalee Somerville

Poetic Daydream

Storm‑light gathers at the edge of the world,
a slow‑moving hush settling over the land.

The earth pauses, listening...
as if it remembers something ancient
in the way the clouds roll and the wind turns.

I feel myself slip
into that gentle, drifting place
where thought becomes breath
and breath becomes wonder.

A daydream rises like mist,
softening the edges of everything,
and for a moment
I am nothing but presence,
a small human held
beneath a vast, knowing sky.
