Poetic Friends Poem by Lento Maez

Poetic Friends

Rating: 5.0

A wounded soul waits
It’s in dire straits
The world feels unjust
Who can one trust
There is a gloom in the air
We feel people don’t care
A short message appears
Bringing wonderful cheers
One’s friend is online
Telling us all is fine
Why can’t each day
Bring friends to say
The world is just
In us you can trust

You dream an impossible dream, my friend. But poets often do, that's why they are poets and not politicians.
