Poetry - Poem by Sasafrass Lovejoy
Writing poems is cheaper
than getting therapy.
And when I finish a new poem
my soul feels rather free.
Creative juices flow,
my mind releases all,
I strive to put into real words
emotions I recall.
And sometimes as I’m writing,
the poem takes a new twist,
and I can see the humor
that in real-life I missed.
That is why I’m writing,
it’s become my new obsession,
but lest you think I’m crazy,
don’t get the wrong impression.
I hope to change this habit soon,
from writing into moving,
cause this old “bod” is getting large
and weight I must be losing!
