Poetry Poem by Leslie Alexis

Poetry

He is a god
That rules your life
Be it by force
Or through your will
He would have his way
Your mind and heart are his
There he stays.

He is like a waterfall
That you may dam
But left unused
You would be damned!
As his banks over-flow
With Heaven’s force
He sets the course
Every word a crown

He is like a wave
Whose cries are melodic
And one with the earth
His mother the sea
His measure is limit-less

He is the wind
That unless you harvest
He becomes a tempest
Whose desire itches
Like a million pins
On newborn Skin
To set him free.
