Poet-Seer Called Me The Muse Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Poet-Seer Called Me The Muse

Poet-Seer called me the Muse
You must be usurer.
Usurer? Asked I surprised
Replied the Muse:
‘A usurer of beauty you must be
Fear not to be usurer in such fair things'
Added I And I shall be
Usurer of Wisdom too, no less
That Beauty to Wisdom conjoined
Shall as the sea and ocean immense
Girdle the earth to same effect
And people on the land witnessing this
Shall this too together understand.
And from point to point together hand n hand.
