Poisonous Love Poem by ELVIS LIME

Poisonous Love

Clouds gathered
Turning the bright sunny day into a shadow of darkness
Thunder struck
Cracking the sky with it's electricity
And ready I became to receive the so much I had waited rains
But just at that moment a desert wind blew
Fading away the pregnant sky
This is all I can say about you and me
And now have really known
That this love was a fruit
Sweet and ripe it was
Time passed and rot it went
Though to me it was still edible
And with so much pleasure I ate it
Not knowing we were not eating the same fruit
I loved you but you loved someone else
Though that one doesn't hurt
What hurts is that I still love you
POISONOUS LOVE
