P.C. Dave is a police bear
He enjoys patrolling for a criminal.
For police work he has a flair.
His arrest record is phenomenal.
He was on the street to hear the word,
Patrolling to find Rit-the-Rat,
Who was a criminal in the underworld,
Wanted for infesting a flat.
The local grasses started confiding,
Supporters of Rit were getting fewer.
Word was that he was in hiding,
He had gone down a nearby sewer,
To enforce the law,
Dave climbed down a drain,
He dropped to the underworld floor.
and engaged his sleuthing brain.
In the sewer as stealthy as a cat,
Dave waded on patrol,
Searching for the felonous rat,
To bring him under control.
Dave's skill quickly brought success,
He cornered Rit on a ledge,
He arrested him in the process,
And fulfilled his policebear's pledge.
Rit-the-Rat had been complacent,
He didn't expect to be found,
He hadn't reckoned on Dave's assignment,
Off to jail he was bound.
