Poor Immigrants Poem by Randy McClave

Poor Immigrants

If the poor immigrants are ruining your life
If they are causing you pain and unnecessary strife,
And if you are blaming that immigrant Apple picker
Because of him, you're consuming more liquor.
If you blame them for all the troubles you have
And because of them you say the country Is going bad,
If you blame the immigrant who can barely afford rent
So, accusing and harassing them you are all hellbent.
If you blame them for all the problems that are out there
And how they are stealing our social security and welfare,
If you believe all that you hear
And that is why you hate and why you live in fear.
You hate the immigrants because they are poor
And you can't stand him or them or their type any more,
You call them murderers and druggies, unchristian and a thief
And sadly that is your honest belief.
You though enjoy the immigrants who are wealthy
The ones who are liars and cons and who are stealthy,
Because, of their words and endeavors you highly appeal
Who are Rupert Murdoch, Elon Musk and Peter Thiel.
Murdoch and Musk each control a top narrative
Which you believe is honest and truthful and imperative,
This must be your soulful memoranda
Their platforms are pushing disturbing hateful propaganda.
You hate the poor immigrant Apple picker that comes to your city
You despise him and you hate him and for him there is no pity,
But, the rich immigrants that feed you all those lies
You believe and worship them as the country's greatest prize.
