Poppies Of Souls Gone By Poem by Rhonda Baker

Poppies Of Souls Gone By

Among the poppies of souls gone by
Their stories lost, I want to cry
What drove you to be the person you were?
Why did you marry? What was the lure?
What’s the one song that touched your heart?
Who was the one to break it, all tore apart?
What did you learn from your journey here?
What was your favorite? What was your fear?
So much I wanted to ask and say….
All gone all lost: you’re on your way.
