Portals Poem by Pete Rivera

Portals

Swirling in portals of vanilla
Twirling in sequent purple dots
Till landing on the ground a new man
And swimming in simple green lots
Tasting the berry flavored air
On my light pink tongue
Sipping the coolness of the summit
For simple goodness, for simple fun
Now I am stuck between dreams
Stuck between the fabric of dimension
Calling for a way to escape
From the darkness of red tension
Flowing with the sequence of ideas
Gaining knowledge from the heart
Till Death seperate my complex knowing
And tear all but soul apart
Now I am swimming in portals
Of soft moonlight shining
Then the thought comes to me
Every cloud has a silver lining
Then the ideas flow again
And blockage I have no more
And I will always write in every moment
Till I reach the age of 104
