Portraits Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Portraits

Save both
Youth and the ripe
Minds and thoughts
Paradigms of the time
Dwelling high on the low.

It's abysmal to note
Crisis of character and role
Must, you trust not politicians
And their delicious devilish dishes
When wou'd they turn their coats
With all the same old favourites
Tastes, choices and the flavours
Indulging, in a lot more
Designs, risky and junk.

It's a dream
Till we meet again
Though all is not lost
But, how to go festive
With fusion of thoughts
As arrives festival of politics
Frequently, taken in by the tricks.

Alluring designs and stunts-
Voter not yet, mentally prepared
To distinguish between the portraits.
