Power Poem by Thems Paplaus

Power

You can't miss power,
rides black, shiny, muscled horses,
with black dogs running ahead
to clear the way and keep people away,
else people scare the horses,
drop the riders and trample them.

An enigma for the crowds,
like a smell spreads
quickly and all over.
It's a heavy load for the wise,
but fulfilling for little egos,
walking scared with arrogance,
while the inane, ring bells
on days of no Mass,
imperiously ignorant.

How their armies of our children
are guided to keep us under,
the right for you
is the wrong for them,
watching to create enemies
to chase away.

Search around you, for who
supports the mighty, and how.
You'll understand.
You, me, him,
could be lifted to power
under the supporters's directiion
tracing the roads to follow.
Chiefs follow orders too.

People's given power is best power,
power from the people for the people.
