Powwow Poem by Harmony Copeland

Powwow

As the weekend comes near
My heart is filled with not fear
But with happiness that powwow is almost here.
When Friday comes around
All my family is arriving in town.
The powwow ground is the place to be.
It’s a wonderful and colorful site to see.
The different regalia’s paints a rainbow in the sky.
You never hear anyone sigh.
As Grand Entry begins,
I think to myself,
I wish these three days would never end.
